Locksmith & access control

The CRM that quotes at the door.

A request becomes a booked service call, the locksmith quotes at the door, and the report records who proved they may have it opened, the keyway and who walked away with which keys — with an access-control page on your website. Daybook speaks locksmith.

Locksmithing is a service trade, and the app takes the service shape for it: a request is waiting to be booked, not viewed; the visit is a service call, not a site visit; the locksmith quotes at the door and the job is usually done the same visit; and once the call is done the next step is Mark won, with a quote available but never insisted on. The lockout is the emergency call and goes first — locked out of a house, a car or a business is a lockout whatever the door, even when a new key is wanted afterwards.

The rest is the trade’s own. Lockout, rekey & lock repair, lock & deadbolt install, commercial & master key, automotive keys & fobs, keyless & access control and safes & vaults as service types; a service call report, a rekey & key schedule and an access control & keyless commissioning sheet as checklists; a starter price list from the lockout to the key blank; and the words on the screen are a locksmith’s.

The locksmith toolkit.

On top of everything Daybook does for every trade — the full list is here — locksmith gets its own tools.

A request becomes a service call

The request chips read To book and Call done, the button says Book a service call, and once the call is done the job’s next step is Mark won — the locksmith already quoted at the door, so a quote is there if you want one and never in the way.

The lock on the job

Make, model, serial number and fault code sit on every job, filled in or not — a deadbolt and an access control panel both fit, so the office knows which hardware before the return visit is booked and the locksmith arrives knowing what is there.

A locksmith price list, ready to price

Trip and first half hour, after-hours calls, residential, commercial and vehicle lockouts, broken key extraction, rekeys per cylinder and keyed alike, master key systems per door and the key schedule, keys cut standard, restricted and by code, deadbolt, lever, smart lock, electric strike, closer and panic bar installs, access control per door, transponder keys and fobs programmed, hardware from a Grade 3 deadbolt to a maglock, and the safe bolt-down — a labelled starter list on day one, with your own prices on it.

Checklists written for locksmithsCrew and up

A service call report with the door, the lock’s make and model, the keyway, whether ID and proof of authority were checked before opening, and the keys cut or issued; a rekey & key schedule with every cylinder, how it is keyed, the pinning recorded and who got which keys — the sheet a landlord asks for a year later; and an access control & keyless commissioning sheet with the credentials programmed, the default codes removed and the fire alarm release tested — attached to the right jobs automatically.

Quotes and paperwork in your words

Lockout, rekey & lock repair, lock & deadbolt install, commercial & master key, automotive keys & fobs, keyless & access control, safes & vaults — the service types, the examples and the document preview all speak locksmith.

AI that knows the trade

Lockout, rekey and lock change, keyway, keyed alike, master key system, restricted keyway, cylinder, deadbolt, strike and closer, access control and credential, fail-safe and fail-secure, transponder and fob, ID and proof of authority, Grade 1, 2 and 3 — drafts and job summaries use a locksmith’s vocabulary, and the auto-classifier files a lockout first whatever the door, a fob on a lobby as access control, a car key as automotive and a landlord’s rekey as commercial.

The words on the screen are yours.

This is not copy — it is what the app says to locksmith businesses, word for word. Most trades see the left-hand word; you see the right.
