Gasfitting

The CRM that quotes at the appliance.

A request becomes a booked service call, the gasfitter quotes at the appliance, and the leak test, the pressure test and the permit ride on the job — with a propane-and-natural-gas page on your website. Daybook speaks gasfitter.

Gasfitting is a service trade, and the app takes the service shape for it: a request is waiting to be booked, not viewed; the visit is a service call, not a site visit; the gasfitter quotes at the appliance, and a hookup or a leak check is often done the same visit; and once the call is done the next step is Mark won, with a quote available but never insisted on. The leak call is the emergency and goes first — a smell of gas that also names the range it comes from is a leak, not a hookup.

The rest is the trade’s own. Gas leak & emergency, appliance hookup & service, gas line run, fireplace & hearth, propane tank & regulator, conversion between natural gas and propane and new-construction rough-in as service types; a service call report, a gas line & pressure test sheet and a conversion & commissioning sheet as checklists; a starter price list from the leak check to black iron by the foot; and the words on the screen are a gasfitter’s.

The gasfitting toolkit.

On top of everything Daybook does for every trade — the full list is here — gasfitting gets its own tools.

A request becomes a service call

The request chips read To book and Call done, the button says Book a service call, and once the call is done the job’s next step is Mark won — the gasfitter already quoted at the appliance, so a quote is there if you want one and never in the way.

The appliance on the job

Make, model, serial number and fault code sit on every job, filled in or not — the rating plate with the BTU input, so the office knows which furnace, range or fireplace before the return visit is booked and the gasfitter arrives knowing what is there.

A gasfitting price list, ready to price

Leak check and after-hours leak calls, the first appliance drop and each additional drop, line extensions and stub-outs, rough-in per outlet, pressure tests, range, dryer, BBQ, heater and generator hookups, fireplace service and installs, conversions, propane tank sets and cylinder change-outs, black iron and CSST by the foot, regulators, flex connectors and shut-offs, the gas permit and the utility locate — a labelled starter list on day one, with your own prices on it.

Checklists written for gasfittersCrew and up

A service call report with the appliance, the fuel, the leak test and pressure readings, and whether it was tagged out or left in service; a gas line & pressure test sheet with the appliances served, the pipe, the test, the permit and whether the CSST is bonded; and a conversion & commissioning sheet with the orifices, the pressures set and the label on the plate — attached to the right jobs automatically.

Quotes and paperwork in your words

Gas leak & emergency, appliance hookup & service, gas line run, fireplace & hearth, propane tank & regulator, conversion, new-construction rough-in — the service types, the examples and the document preview all speak gasfitting.

AI that knows the trade

Smell of gas, leak check, soap test and manometer, drop, trunk and stub-out, hookup and flex connector, conversion and orifice, regulator and inches of water column, pressure test, permit and inspection, CSST and black iron, tag out — drafts and job summaries use a gasfitter’s vocabulary, and the auto-classifier files any smell of gas as the leak call first, a switch between fuels as a conversion, and a new run as a line.

The words on the screen are yours.

This is not copy — it is what the app says to gasfitting businesses, word for word. Most trades see the left-hand word; you see the right.
