Daybook runs a cleaning company end to end: a new job starts as a recurring plan, its visits sit on the schedule and keep coming, the day opens on a map in the order you will drive it, and the visit checklist is filled in on the phone — the rooms done, the extras, the time in and out. Completed visits become draft invoices, by the visit or once a month, with GST/HST by province.
The rules the trade lives under
A move-out or a post-construction clean does not close without the kitchen, the bathrooms and every room ticked off, a photograph of every room and the client’s or the manager’s sign-off.
A quote signed at an Ontario client’s home shows them their right to cancel for 10 days, and their copy is emailed with the last day to cancel.

Daybook names these so you can see where it helps. It is not a compliance product: it does not hold a safety data sheet for your products, train your cleaners on them or settle a damage-deposit dispute. The sheets record what you did, the hazard assessment is yours to fill in, and your province and your accountant have the last word.
Three things that go wrong
Every second Tuesday, every Friday, the first of the month — and each visit is something somebody has to remember to put on next week’s list.

The request

The price list
A cleaner quotes from a price list, not an estimator — so yours starts labelled: the weekly, every-two-weeks and monthly visit, the first-visit deep clean, move-in and move-out, post-construction, offices per visit and nightly by the month, carpet by the room and upholstery by the piece, extras from the inside of the oven to a load of laundry, products and supplies, the travel charge outside the route. Your own prices go on it, and every quote and invoice reads from it.
The paperwork
A property setup sheet from the walk-through — the size, the cadence, the access, the pets, what matters most and what not to touch. A visit checklist, one per visit, with the rooms done and the extras. A move-out and post-construction sign-off, room by room, photographed and signed. They attach themselves to the right jobs, and the sign-off will not let a move-out close unfinished.
Safety on site
Pick the job and the property and the crew come with it; the day’s conditions, each task with its hazard and its control — submitted from the phone at the start of the day and on the job’s record the moment it lands. Then clock-in, the visit checklist and the photos, with no signal if it comes to that.
Getting paid
A one-time deep clean or a move-out is invoiced the day it is done; a recurring plan is billed from its completed visits, by the visit or once a month. A reminder you set once does the following-up, with a Pay Now link; e-transfers are matched to their invoices for you to confirm. And with a Stripe card reader, a cleaner you allow takes a card or Interac debit at the door.
The crew
Field seats are free and unlimited on Crew and Company, so every cleaner has the app: the day’s visits, clock-in, the FLHA, the visit checklist, the photos — and the office sees it the moment it lands.
The economics
Most field-service software charges by the head, in another currency. Daybook charges the office seats, in Canadian dollars, and leaves the people doing the cleaning alone.

There is no importer for another product’s export, and the page does not pretend there is. What there is gets a cleaning company running in an afternoon.
